- Check for Updates: Make sure that your FactoryTalk View SE and Application Manager are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
- Run as Administrator: Running the Application Manager with administrative privileges can sometimes resolve permission-related issues.
- Disk Check: Make sure you have enough space on in the backup directory.
- Restart the server: This will restart any services that might have stopped and might help in completing the backup successfully.
The Solution: After trying out the options above, the solution that worked for me is surprisingly simple:
- Clean the Project Folder: Navigate to the HMI project folder in Windows Explorer. Look for and remove any extraneous files that don’t belong, such as zip files or backup copies of .gfx files. These unnecessary files can sometimes interfere with the backup process.
